Lately I’ve been reflecting on something subtle that most of us experience, yet rarely examine: why do we sometimes let things pass and sometimes not? A tone, a comment, a behaviour that doesn’t quite sit right, and yet we decide not to respond. We move on. We keep the atmosphere light. And then, in other moments, something similar happens and we speak. We question, we respond, we refuse to let it slide.
